Shows Lana Gay Mondays to Thursdays 8 am - noon ET Lana Gay is a host and content contributor on CBC Music. Her 4 hour radio show airs twice daily, at 5am and 5pm, on SiriusXM 162 and CBCMusic.ca. She hosts the weekly R3-30 podcast, showcasing the Top 30 Indie Canadian songs in the nation. Lana is fixated on independent Canadian music and also enjoys writing and tweeting about oddities, technology, food culture and anything to do with Dolly Parton. She got her start in radio at 102.1 the Edge in Toronto, then traveled west to become Indie Music Director at Vancouver’s 99.3 The Fox and joined CBC Radio 3 in 2007. Lana is proud to hail from Leamington, Ontario where she was raised on Motown music and Hungarian food (an underrated combo, really.) She won the ‘Most Likely to Save the World Award’ in high school and knows the value of a cold beer, an old record and a sassy pair of boots. Once, she tried to chase a rainbow and ended up in Blenheim, Ontario. Grant Lawrence Weekdays noon – 4 pm ET Grant Lawrence has long been a leading voice for Canadian arts and culture. For years, the gregarious and encyclopedic Lawrence has hosted the CBC Radio 3 Podcast, a weekly showcase of Canadian independent music. Grant also hosts a live and interactive daily program on CBC Radio 3’s popular web radio station, also airing on SiriusXM 162. Grant can be heard throughout the week on various CBC Radio One programs such as The Wild Side, DNTO, On The Coast, Mainstreet, All In A Day, and All Points West, and hosts many major music events, such as the Polaris Music Prize Gala, the Western Canadian Music Awards, and various festivals around North America. Prior to his work at CBC, Grant Lawrence was the lead singer of the internationally acclaimed Vancouver garage band The Smugglers. Grant's first book, Adventures In Solitude, published in the fall of 2010. Raina Douris Weekdays 4 pm – 8 pm ET Raina Douris has been involved in radio for several years. A graduate of Ryerson’s Radio & Television Arts program, she worked in radio promotions and interactive at Corus Radio Toronto before nabbing her first on-air job on 102.1 the Edge. She also created and hosted the Edge’s Indie Online program, an online platform supporting independent artists. In 2011, Raina started a video series called Rain’s World, in which she conducts unconventional interviews with musicians from her home. Raina joined CBC Radio 3 in 2012.
