Marc Benecke

A native New Yorker, Marc’s interest in music started with his dad, who was a jazz drummer, and his mom, an opera singer. Although not originally a club-goer, he was at the door of Studio 54 from day one. Later operating bars and restaurants in LA, Marc helped bring the intimate lounge concept to Hollywood. He realigned himself with mentor Ian Schrager at the Clift, Shore Club, and Gramercy Park hotels. Marc has appeared on Broadway and the film Into the Goldmine, which starred Drew Barrymore.

Myra Scheer

Born in Savannah, GA, Myra Scheer moved to New York around the time Studio 54 opened its velvet ropes. Even though she earned a degree in Advertising/PR from the University of Georgia it was working with Steve Rubell and Ian Schrager that gave her a Masters. She was their assistant, guarded the "inner door" and for a time, interim in-house publicist. She stayed the course in PR and specializes now in health, beauty and not-for-profits — "the opposite of disco," she jokes. She is on the board of the Savannah Film Festival and is writing a first novel loosely based on her trudge to happy destiny.
