“Summer of Love! Summer of LeBron! Summer of Cleveland!” Yeah, Adam Schein is hyped following the reported Kevin Love deal. According to USA TODAY Sports, the Minnesota Timberwolves agreed to trade Love to the Cleveland Cavaliers for Andrew Wiggins, Anthony Bennett and a future first-round pick. According to Schein, the rest of the NBA might as well just hand the Larry O’Brien trophy over to LeBron James, Love, Dan Gilbert and the city of Cleveland.
The favorite to win an NBA championship are the Cleveland Cavaliers. I think that they are right now on paper the best team in the NBA.
“Now with Kevin Love in Cleveland, you can cancel the season,” Schein said. “I still wanna see, and we’re still on a collision course, Chicago, Cleveland, Eastern Conference finals, bring it on. Nobody else in the East, in my opinion, has a chance to compete with either one of those teams. Who’s gonna compete? Indiana? They don’t have Paul George, don’t have Lance Stephenson. Washington? The Miami Heat? No, absolutely not, without LeBron James.” Schein suggested that King James’ decision to ditch South Beach for Lake Erie included bringing Love aboard all along. “Remember that letter […] that LeBron wrote when he talked about all his teammates?” Schein said. “Remember there was one name missing from that letter? That name was Andrew Wiggins. You think LeBron James, he signed with Cleveland … I’m just throwing this out there: You think he had all his ducks in a row? He wasn’t going to Cleveland to have Kyrie Irving as his only wingman. He needed Kevin Love.” In Love, Cleveland got a “tremendous offensive player,” Schein added. But that didn’t mean this was a one-sided deal. “This is genius. Every once in a while, you get a trade and there are winners, there are losers. But I think that this reported deal is actually a major win for everybody involved,” Schein said.
