Another international crisis dominated politics in Washington this week. President Obama’s decision to send 300 “military advisors” to Iraq also flushed some members of the previous administration out of their bunkers – notably irascible former Vice President Dick Cheney.

Michael Shear, White House correspondent for the New York Times, discussed the newspaper’s latest polling that measured dismal marks for the president’s handling of foreign policy, including unrest in Iraq.

So Cheney was wrong, Americans think Obama is wrong — is the Iraq mess vindicating anyone? Vice President Joe Biden’s once-mocked suggestion for partitioning Iraq is lately being dusted off and reconsidered, according to Associated Press White House reporter Josh Lederman.

On another subject entirely, Philip Rucker, national political reporter for the Washington Post, joined Jules to discuss Hillary Clinton’s troubles on her book rollout.
