Reporting to the Intern Coordinator
Reporting to the Intern Coordinator, this highly organized, detail-oriented individual will be responsible for providing programming content, production and administrative support.
Key Accountabilities
Production duties (Supervisors: Director, Music Programming)
- Ingest and edit new material: music, production elements and update metadata in broadcast automation software
- Learn how to schedule and update music logs in scheduling software
- Contribute to music channels social media pages, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and websites through programming updates and engaging social posts and blog posts
- Maintain and gather content: photos, videos etc. for SiriusXM online properties
- Conduct research on artists and bands for in-studio sessions and interviews
- Assist in the production of audio program features for the channel as required
Qualification and Skill Requirements
- Actively enrolled in a College or University program that SiriusXM is partnering with, or has successfully completed a program and is acquiring the required co-op credits
- Ability and availability to work 2 full days per week during scheduled times within 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM, Monday – Friday
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and a strong team player
- Takes initiative with projects and actively looks for ways to contribute to SiriusXM content
- Knowledge of audio digital editing software
- Interest in music of all genres
Intern Term
- 60-90 days (up to 300 hours)
