Reporting to the Senior Manager, Sponsorship & Events

The Specialist, Sponsorship & Events, will support the execution and coordination of sponsorship activities designed to strengthen the company’s corporate position and Canadian Content Development (CCD) initiatives. This includes, but is not limited to, sponsorship asset management, event production, partnership coordination and the development of proprietary programs.

Accountabilities

Sponsorship

  • Coordinate music, comedy and sports sponsorship asset deliverables, liaising with multiple partners across all industries
  • Oversee event production; act as representative for onsite requirements at events and coordinate event marketing materials
  • Develop digital content creation in collaboration with video and social media teams
  • Conduct comprehensive post-mortem event reporting
  • Participate in all areas of sponsorship ideation, development and execution
  • Support Québec sponsorship activities as needed
  • Coordinate charity and cause marketing

Canadian Content Development (CCD)

  • Execute strategic planning and implementation of English CCD activities, including creation and execution of proprietary programs such as SiriusXM’s Top Comic, SiriusXM’s Top of the Country and SiriusXM Artist Confidentials
  • Align CCD programs to Conditions of Licence in conjunction with marketing objectives
  • Assist in ensuring direction of funding towards focus, development and growth of Canadian musical and comedic talent within CCD guidelines
  • Work closely with artists and representatives
  • Assist in administration of annual CRTC filing and reporting

Other

  • Conduct associated budget tracking, filing and reporting across all activities as required
  • Provide support for internal events (Town Halls, etc.)
  • Coordinate contests and prizing fulfillment
  • Coordinate hospitality
  • Provide support for internal and external communications as needed

Level of Education

  • Post-secondary education in event management, marketing or related field

Job Related Experience

  • 2-4 years’ relevant experience
  • Experience with sponsorship coordination and partner management
  • Small and large-scale event production experience
  • Broadcast and entertainment industry experience an asset
  • PR and media relations experience an asset
