It’s only natural Mick is with Sirius XM NHL Network Radio, after a childhood spent collecting hockey cards, and freezing in net playing road hockey in Edmonton and Ottawa. He believes in 4-on-4 hockey all the time, and goalie fights. Hockey heroes include Ken Dryden, Gilles Meloche, and Len Frig. In addition to producing “NHL Game Day” every weekday afternoon, Mick also writes about a variety of hockey topics on this website, and hosts “Under Review”, taking calls from across North America between 1-2 pm ET.

Mike Johnson

Mike Johnson

A veteran of more than 650 NHL games as a player, Mike Johnson brings his expertise to NHL Network Radio and NHL Game Day as co-host with Steve Kouleas. Between Network appearances, he also can be heard on TSN’s Canadiens regional game broadcasts as a color commentator.
Johnson signed as a free agent with the Toronto Maple Leafs during the 1996-97 season.  In his first full season with the Leafs, he had 15 goals and 32 assists to earn himself a tie for the League lead for scoring among rookies and was named to the NHL All-Rookie Team. He followed that with the first 20-goal season of his career. Known for his offensive flair, Johnson went on to play for the Tampa Bay Lightning, Phoenix Coyotes, and St. Louis Blues, amassing career totals of 129 goals and 375 points in 661 games. Johnson was named to Team Canada for the 2000 IIHF World Championship in St. Petersburg, Russia, where he had a goal and an assist in nine games.
