Scottish band CHVRCHES took the electronic music scene by storm in 2013 with their debut album The Bones of What You Believe, and now they’re giving fans a taste of what they’ll hear on their highly anticipated sophomore effort Every Open Eye with their new single, Leave a Trace.

The band’s lead singer Lauren Mayberry spoke about the new LP, which is set to be released on September 25, on SiriusXMU with host Jenny Eliscu, sharing the band’s approach and recording process this time around.

“We just went back to the studio we have in a little basement flat in Glasgow and we put in some extra sound proofing, and got some extra gear that we collected on tour,” Mayberry said. “We just started writing in there, much as we did with the first album but this time we have the luxury of this being our full time jobs, whereas previously when we were writing we were all working in other things.”
