Garth Brooks brings The Garth Channel to SiriusXM

The Garth Channel

Beginning September 8th, SiriusXM will be home to Garth Brooks’ The Garth Channel, another artist-exclusive channel that will feature the music of the best-selling solo artist in North American history. Brooks made the announcement this morning on The Highway.

Curated and presented by Brooks, The Garth Channel will feature music spanning the four decades of the musician’s career, along with songs from the artists that influenced him. This is the first time Garth’s music is being presented 24/7 in one place, on radio or online.

SiriusXM’s The Garth Channel will also include regularly hosted shows and behind-the-scenes commentary from Brooks, guest DJ specials hosted by Brooks’ fans and friends, live concert recordings and other rarities from Brooks’ treasured archives.

“It’s rare to be handed an opportunity that can grow as big as you can dream. That is exactly what SiriusXM has just done,” said Garth Brooks. “I speak for myself and the entire team when I say we are very grateful for this opportunity and very excited about its potential.”

Garth is currently on the three year Garth Brooks World Tour with Trisha Yearwood. The tour began with 11 sold out shows at the Allstate Arena in Chicago and is smashing records previously held by such acts as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and even Garth Brooks.

The Garth Channel launches on September 8th across all SiriusXM satellite radios and online via SiriusXM Streaming.

As well, some of our country channels will be moving to different numbers on your radio effective August 4th, 2016:

  • No Shoes Radio is moving from Channel 62 to Channel 57
  • Y2Kountry is moving from Channel 57 to Channel 61
  • Bluegrass Junction is moving from Channel 61 to Channel 62

Finally, if you’re a dance music fan, we wanted to let you know that Utopia will be moving strictly online. However, much of the music you’re used to hearing on Utopia (Channel 55) will be available on Studio 54 Radio (Channel 54), which will feature the biggest dance hits from the ‘70s through the 2000’s all in one place starting August 4.
