Is there a Reba + Kelly Clarkson + Trisha Yearwood album in our future?!

It's Reba!

It's Reba!

Our favorite redhead has a new album! Reba’s Love Somebody was recorded with a new format that features the old country classics and new tunes. Reba chatted with OutQ (Ch. 106) host Larry Flick about the decision to record again after feeling “not wanted” on some radio stations over the last few years.

“I didn’t want to be taking up airspace from the up-and-coming kids who are recording and trying to get into the music business. I’ve had 40 wonderful years of that. For them to have a format, though, of playing the old AND the new, that was different. I was really encouraged by that. And I wanted to be a part of the music business again. I wanted to be back on radio.”

The country queen also talked to Flick about her musical influences and finding her sound over 30 years ago.  “I want[ed] my kind of country. It was a little too contemporary back then.”

And she said she’s talked with daughter-in-law Kelly Clarkson and Trisha Yearwood about a joint album. “Now, that would be fun.”

We agree!
