It’s not over: Julie Mason has her top political stories of the week

It was so fun this week hosting SiriusXM colleague Michelangelo Signorile in the Press Pool with Julie Mason. Mike has a new book out called It’s Not Over: Getting Beyond Tolerance, Defeating Homophobia and Winning True Equality.

Coincidentally, Out magazine this week released its 9th annual list of the most influential LGBT Americans. Editor Aaron Hicklin described how the list has evolved over the years.

Elsewhere, Washington DC was getting ready for the annual White House Correspondents Association dinner, held April 25 and featuring President Obama and SNL’s Cecily Strong. Christi Parsons, White House reporter for the LA Times and president of the correspondents association, joined Jules to talk about a new list of proposed guidelines the press corps hopes the White House will adopt.

And Matt Lewis, a columnist for the Daily Beast and contributor to the Daily Caller, jumped in the Press Pool to talk about his theory that Huckabee is Ted Cruz’ worst nightmare.

Check out the Press Pool with Julie Mason weekdays from 3 – 6 p.m ET on POTUS channel 124, and follow Julie on Twitter @juliemason.
