SiriusXM announced that Andy Cohen, popular late night talk show host of “Watch What Happens Live” on Bravo, television producer, and bestselling author will now also executive produce an all-new channel featuring entertainment personally curated and presented by Cohen exclusively on SiriusXM.
In addition to producing the new SiriusXM channel, Radio Andy, Cohen will also host a weekly radio show exclusively on the 24/7 channel for SiriusXM listeners nationwide. Radio Andy and Cohen’s new radio show are scheduled to launch later this year.
“I love radio, and the creative challenge of programming a channel around people I’m passionate about is intoxicating,” said Cohen. “Personally, I’ve been looking for an outlet where I can do more long-form interviews, and SiriusXM is the perfect home for my brand of uncensored, deep and shallow talk. Furthermore, I consider Howard Stern a media role model, so working under the same roof will be a thrill.”
“Andy Cohen is a dynamic and larger-than-life personality whose unique brand of entertainment genius has changed the way we watch TV. Let’s listen to what happens when Andy does radio and taps into what’s fun and happening in pop culture,” said Scott Greenstein, President and Chief Content Officer, SiriusXM.
The Emmy Award and Peabody Award-winning Cohen is the Host and Executive Producer of “Watch What Happens Live,” his live late night, interactive talk show on Bravo that is the only live show in Late Night, and features some of the biggest names in pop culture, including Oprah Winfrey, Cher, Lady Gaga, Meryl Streep, Jennifer Lopez, Will Ferrell, and Jimmy Fallon. Cohen also serves as Executive Producer of “The Real Housewives” franchise and hosts the highly-rated reunion specials on Bravo.
On SiriusXM in 2012, Cohen hosted a 5-week series of live, call-in shows discussing pop culture and entertainment with the people who make it happen and with SiriusXM listeners nationwide. To celebrate the publication of his best-selling memoir “Most Talkative: Stories from the Front Lines of Pop Culture,” Cohen hosted a live on-air ’80s prom-themed broadcast exclusively on SiriusXM.
In 10 years as an executive at Bravo, where he was most recently Executive Vice President of Development and Talent, Cohen was responsible for a high-profile and successful slate of unscripted series and specials including hits such as “Project Runway,” “Top Chef,” “Queer Eye,” “The Millionaire Matchmaker,” “Kathy Griffin My Life On the D List,” “The Rachel Zoe Project,” and “The Real Housewives” franchises.
St. Louis native Cohen is also a best-selling author. In November 2014, he became a New York Times best-selling author for a third time with the release of his latest book, “The Andy Cohen Diaries: A Deep Look At a Shallow Year” published by Henry Holt. Cohen also had bestsellers with both the hardcover (May 2012) and the paperback (May 2013) versions of his first book, titled, “Most Talkative.”
