This year is officially the year of the Real Estate solo album. The band’s lead guitarist Matt Mondanile and bassist Alex Bleeker have both put out their own side projects, and now frontman Martin Courtney celebrates a solo release of his own with Many Moons, his debut LP. Out last week via Domino, the album explores Courtney’s “transition into family life and fatherhood” through his hazy brand of psychedelic folk-pop.

While promoting his new album, Courtney stopped by SiriusXMU (Ch. 35), where he treated us to in-studio performances of Foto, Northern Highway and Airport Bar off Many Moons in addition to a cover of Pavements’ 1999 Terror Twilight cut Major Leagues.

Check out the cover below, and don’t forget to pick up a copy of Many Moons, available for purchase now.
