New This Week in Canadian Country

Dani Strong has released a new song called ‘Rollin’ and the video features raw footage from the studio and is, “very Dani,” as she says!

ICYMI, Blackie Jackett Jr. release their debut album today titled ‘For a Good Time Call.’ This isn’t a classic country band – they sound like a party and that’s what they intend to bring to SiriusXM House during Canadian Music Week (link above).

The first single from the album is ‘Stuck in Rewind’ and you can watch / hear a trailer for the new album below:

ICYMI, Meghan Patrick released a new song, ‘The Bad Guy.’ “This song is one of the more vulnerable songs I’ve written. Sometimes people think that just because you’re the one who left that it doesn’t hurt, but most of the time it really isn’t that simple.”

The Country Thunder Music Festival has announced a huge tribute concert at the SaskTel Centre on April 27th with all proceeds from ticket sales going directly to the families of the Humboldt Broncos who lost their lives during the horrific bus crash that claimed the lives of sixteen players. The line-up includes our friends Jess Moskaluke, Hunter Brothers, Dallas Smith, Brett Kissel, Gord Bamford and Chad Brownlee. Get your tickets here

“I’m so proud to be a part of this event along with my friends and peers. This tragedy weighs heavy on our hearts and in our minds and we are committed to helping do whatever we can for everyone affected. They say music heals, so we’re going to play our hearts out!!”
— Dallas Smith

“The Humboldt tragedy hit really close to home for me, having grown up in a hockey community in small town Saskatchewan. As people, our hearts are all wanting to help. As artists, we know music can help heal, and we made a conscious decision to all get together to try and do just that.”
— Jess Moskaluke
