With high hopes that he will be the man to succeed Kobe Bryant as the face of the franchise, the Los Angeles Lakers took D’Angelo Russell second overall in the 2015 NBA Draft. That means the Ohio State alum has some enormous shoes to fill, and sports columnist Vincent Bonsignore told SiriusXM Bleacher Report Radio that he believes Russell has the potential to be the player Los Angeles needs.

“Will he be worthy of the second pick in draft?” Bonsignore asked. “I think I’ve seen enough to say he’s got the necessary ingredients to be a good player, and now it’s just putting it all together, and also putting players around him that complement his game, and that’s going to be the trick for the Lakers.”
