Candace Cameron Bure chatted with Larry Flick on Out Q this week about her upcoming Hallmark Channel movie, Dancing With the Stars and her religion. But most importantly (OK, most importantly for children of the ’90s), she talked about the coming Full House spinoff, Fuller House, and the revival of her character DJ Tanner.
“I’m very excited overall … everyone keeps asking if I’m gonna have a lot of Aqua Net,” she said. “It’s gonna be a fresh show, a modern show. It’ll still have the heartfelt and heartwarming themes of the original show. It will be family-friendly. But we will deal with new contemporary situations and day-to-day life, because things are different now than they were 20 years ago.”
And while DJ’s big hair may not make a comeback, Cameron Bure noted that the fashion isn’t too far off.
“The ’90s clothing is so in style right now for teenagers, so my daughter at this point is saying ‘Mom, that was actually, like, a pretty on fleek outfit.’ … Aren’t you impressed that I just said ‘on fleek?’”
Deej, you’ll always be the cool older sister.
