Reporting to the Senior Director, Customer Conversion & Winback
As a key player on the CRM and Loyalty & Retention Teams, the Financial Analyst, Direct Marketing will contribute to the successful management and administration of three direct marketing budgets. As the financial analyst prime, the individual will use their business acumen to manage critical elements of the financial process, including estimate and invoice processing, tracking of accruals, as well as purchase order management. They will be responsible for the documentation and submission of monthly financial re-forecasts, audits, quarterly budgets and other reports.

Accountabilities
Finance & Administration
- Collaborate with senior leaders to develop budget and financial forecasting for campaign operational spend on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
- Liaise with Finance department and provide detailed analysis including monthly variance explanations on OPEX against forecast, budget, prior year, etc.
- Coordinate with Analytics team to reconcile forecast vs. actuals variances in volume distribution
- Provide ad hoc summaries and background details on OPEX spend to the Finance team, as required
- Prepare periodic reporting and presentation decks for Board level and general financial reporting
- Provide support to Marketing primes with respect to budget management, as required
- Handle departmental accounting, including month-end/year-end reconciliation for three marketing cost centres, cash management (monitoring prepaid balances, etc.) and auditor inquiries
- Manage invoice and estimate processing, creation of purchase orders and maintain the monthly tracking
- Coordinate monthly spend and forecasting meetings to reconcile records with external partners
- Coordinate recurring team Finance meetings with internal teams and external vendors
- Directly report into the Senior Director, Customer Conversion & Winback (two cost centres) with a dotted line relationship into the Senior Director, Loyalty & Retention (one cost centre)
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
Level of Education
- College or University degree in business or related field
Job-related Experience
- 3-4 years of experience in a professional environment
- Experience in financial administration and/or analysis is required
Skills & Background
- Superior attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a team environment, though also has a sense of autonomy and initiative
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines and priorities
- Expertise in the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
- Experience in ERP software (Oracle, etc.)
