Financial Analyst

Reporting to the Business Manager

Reporting to the Business Manager, the Financial Analyst is responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual subscriber forecasting, data analytics, and variance analysis with an aim to evaluate business performance on the subscriber metrics and provide support to our business partners (OEM and Aftermarket team). The Financial Analyst must have knowledge of SQL for this role.

Accountabilities

Financial Planning and analysis:

  • Assist in the forecasting for short- and long-range automobile volumes and subscriber level impacts based on company performance, market conditions, campaigns, and growth opportunities
  • Perform price and volume variance on penetration rate by OEM partners
  • Work with the business to identify key business assumptions and incorporate them into the forecasting models

Data Modeling:

  • Provide financial information via SQL queries for forecasting, data analysis, business reporting, and other strategic projects
  • Create and maintain complex multi-year models and monitor metrics to continuously improve upon forecasting of business performance
  • Provide business case and LTV analyses on new marketing initiatives and OEM partner contracts

Presentation/Reporting:

  • Present key findings relating to monthly subscriber performance metrics and LTV analysis to senior executives via PowerPoint
  • Manage month end actualization of subscribers, subscriber acquisition costs and opex models for OEM and Aftermarket departments
  • Assist in preparation of internal and quarterly Board presentations

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

Level of Education

  • University degree in finance, accounting, or economics
  • Enrollment or completion in accounting or finance designation

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of SQL and experience working with large-scale data mining is a must
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Minimum 2+ years relevant experience; familiarity with subscriber-based business is an asset
