All week long, model, actress, author and SiriusXM host Jenny McCarthy will discuss different aspects of motherhood with her listeners and talk about everything from dating and parenting to sex and relationships as she celebrates some of the favorite moms in her life. Plus, Jenny will share stories from her best-selling books and take a look at the lighter side of parenting with stories about crazy things moms do and the silly tweets they post. Pia Lindstrom Presents (Stars channel 109): The SiriusXM host asks well-known personalities what they think of their mothers: Longtime news personality Cokie Roberts talks glowingly about her mom’s support, Broadway costume designer to the stars William Ivey Long shares what his mom taught him about designing, and Mint Theater Artistic Director Jonathan Bank shares how his mom reacted when she heard of his career choice. Just Jenny (Stars channel 109): Jenny will share the best and worst gifts Mother’s Day gifts ever and celebrates people who are mother figures. Also, fantasy mom vacations, and dealing with loss on Mother’s Day. Airs weekdays at 12:00 pm ET.
The Dr. Jenn Show (Stars channel 109): Radio and television host and author of multiple parenting books, Dr. Jenn Mann will open each show with her best tips on motherhood, parenting, balancing family, work and personal time, and more. Airs weekdays at 10:00 pm ET.
Kids Place Live (channel 78): Liz Gumbinner and Kristen Chase, founders of Cool Mom Picks, share some of their top Mother’s Day picks for both new and more seasoned moms, DIY and homemade gifts, gifts for mom from the kids, gifts for grandma, and gifts for the other mother-like figures in your life. The one-hour gift guide special will air on SiriusXM Kids Place Live channel 78, and will replay on SiriusXM Stars.
SiriusXM NASCAR Radio’s Dialed In to Mother’s Day special (channel 90): Claire B. Lang will host her annual special this Saturday, May 9 (2:00 pm ET) live from Kansas Speedway. The show celebrates the relationships between several of NASCAR’s star drivers and their mothers, and Lang will talk with a number of NASCAR moms – including drivers’ wives – about their children and life on and off the track.
Plus, some channels are just tailor made for Mom. Such is the case with Venus (Channel 3). It’s tailor made with the biggest hits of today, the hottest hits of tomorrow and the coolest new music. Among the artists you’ll hear on Mother’s Day include Beyoncé, Britney Spears, Lady Gaga and Rihanna.
There’s also SiriusXM Love, which is full of romantic love songs from Phil Collins, Barry Manilow, Lionel Richie and many others. These are tunes that would certainly help let your wife know how much your appreciate her work as a mom.
