Mike Krzyzewski, the Hall of Fame head coach of the Duke University Blue Devils, will host the premiere episode of the 16th season of his weekly SiriusXM show, Basketball and Beyond with Coach K, Thursday, October 22 at 6 pm ET.
On Thursday’s debut, Krzyzewski is scheduled to be joined by Frank Vogel, head coach of the NBA Champion Los Angeles Lakers, and Jon Cooper, who coached the Tampa Bay Lightning to the Stanley Cup Championship last month.
Basketball and Beyond features Coach K and co-host Dave Sims interviewing successful people from many different walks of life. Last season’s guests included Dr. Anthony Fauci, Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases; Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid; LSU head football coach Ed Orgeron; Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow; Washington Nationals manager Dave Martinez; NASCAR champion Kyle Busch; and many others.
Throughout the college basketball season, a new edition of Basketball and Beyond will air every Thursday at 6 pm ET on both the ESPNU Radio (Ch. 84) and SiriusXM ACC Radio (Ch. 371) channels. Both channels are available nationwide on SiriusXM radios, on the SiriusXM app and at home with Amazon Alexa, the Google Assistant, or however they stream in their home. Episodes are also available to subscribers through SiriusXM On Demand.
Krzyzewski will host a special NBA Draft-focused edition of his show on Wednesday, November 18.
Throughout more than four decades as a head basketball coach, 40 years at Duke University, Coach K has built one of the greatest coaching resumes in sports history. A member of the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame since 2001, he is the all-time winningest head coach in NCAA Men’s Division I basketball history with 1157 victories, and he has led Duke to its five NCAA Championship titles. As the USA Basketball Men’s National Team’s head coach, Coach K won three Olympic gold medals, two FIBA World Championship gold medals, and one FIBA Americas Championship gold medal.
