Shania Twain is Back With “Life’s About To Get Good”

The wait was worth it! Shania Twain’s new song “Life’s About to Get Good” is out with her first record in almost fifteen years to follow in September. Now is set for a September 29th release date.

Shania Twain’s spoken about the darker place that lead to the songs on this album, during a time when her and producer Mutt Lange divorced (her songwriting partner), she endured a battle with Lyme disease, and lost her voice for a period of time.

She came back with a vengeance with the single “Today Is Your Day” in 2011, did a Las Vegas residency and travelled the world on a huge tour in 2016 that she predicted would be her last…that’s hard to believe now!

Here’s an early track-listing revealed in an interview this week:

“Life’s About To Get Good”
“Who’s Gonna Be Your Girl?”
“We Got Something They Don’t”
“Poor Me”
“Has Anybody Seen My Soldier?”
“More Fun”
“Home Now”
“Roll Me On The River”
“I’m Alright”
“Light Of My Life”

Willie Nelson & Glen Campbell Team Up on “Funny How Time Slips Away”

Glen Campbell just released his final LP titled Adiós and invited an ol’ pal to guest on one of the most covered songs in country, “Funny How Time Slips Away.” Originally recorded by Billy Walker in 1961, Elvis Presley, The Supremes, Al Green with Lyle Lovett, Bobby Bland and B.B. King have had their own takes on the song.

From Rolling Stone Country:

The sessions took place following Campbell’s diagnosis with Alzheimer’s and the subsequent Goodbye Tour, chronicled in the poignant documentary film, Glen Campbell… I’ll Be Me.
“Glen and I have been close such a long, long time…”I stood right beside him on every line, printed out the lyrics in big print. Sometimes we had to do a line at a time because with Alzheimer’s, his memory of the lyrics, as we saw in the tour he had to use teleprompters, that went away pretty quick. But his melodies did not go away for a long time after his ability to remember actual songs. He would even remember what keys he did them in. I can’t explain it.”
Campbell is in the final stages of the disease and living in a Nashvillememory-care facility.

Gord Bamford Releases “Livin’ on Summertime” From Forthcoming Album

Just in time for summer 2017, Gord Bamford is back with our first taste of his forthcoming album called “Livin’ On Summertime” with the video to follow in July.

“I am really excited for the new single,” says Bamford, “It’s a little more punchy, a little edgier but it is still country and I am eager for radio programmers and fans to hear the song.”
