Acclaimed sex therapist Dr. Ruth Westheimer stopped by SiriusXM for a chat with Jenny McCarthy to promote her new book The Doctor Is In. On the subject of pornography, she revealed that she recommends engaging with other sexually explicit content instead.

“I don’t recommend it, but I say anything that is sexually explicit is wonderful for me. Any book, Fifty Shades of Grey, any movie,” she said, noting that required reading and dull text should be avoided.

“But the important thing,” she continued, “is to accept that sexual drive, that desire for sexuality has to be nourished … so that people have good sex for the rest of their lives.”
