Joey DeFrancesco est le roi incontesté de l’orgue Hammond B-3 dans le jazz d’aujourd’hui. Rhonda Hamilton, originaire de New York, est une légende de la radiodiffusion de jazz, car elle est cofondatrice de la très populaire station de radio de Newark WBGO, où on peut l’entendre en ondes depuis près de quarante ans. Depuis 1980, elle fait aussi régulièrement acte de présence à plusieurs émissions souscrites de NPR, dont « Jazz Set » et « Toast of the Nation ».
