Lauren Rico a travaillé dans des stations de radio à Tampa, Charlotte, Washington, D.C., Austin et New York. Elle a passé plus sept ans en tant qu’animatrice sur Classical 24, un service de musique classique diffusant à l’échelle nationale. Au cours des quelques dernières années, Lauren a approfondi la production télévisuelle, a animé et produit 5 saisons de production radiophonique de l’opéra du Minnesota ainsi que les séries documentaires « Instrumental Women » qui ont remporté un Gracie Award. Étudiante de longue date du cor français, Lauren est titulaire d’une maîtrise de l’Université George Mason.

Il est l’auteur de The Inextinguishable Symphony évoquant l’expérience vécue par ses parents au sein d’un orchestre totalement juif au cœur de l’Allemagne nazie et The Beatles Come to America. Il travaille sur un nouveau livre qui suit le voyage de son grand-père et de son oncle à bord du célèbre bateau de réfugiés juifs, le St. Louis et leur triste odyssée au travers d’une série de camps de concentration français jusqu’à leur meurtre à Auschwitz, intitulé Alex’s Wake. Depuis plusieurs années, il a travaillé à titre de compositeur et d’interprète (titulaire d’une bourse Guggenheim, membre des commissions NEA et NYSCA). Son art a été exposé dans des galeries et des musées de New York et dans la région des Trois États. Il a été aussi narrateur de livres audio et a enregistré comme voix hors champ pour une variété de clients commerciaux et industriels. Quand il ne fait pas de la recherche pour ses émissions, il aime passer du temps en famille, dans la nature, dans l’eau et plongé dans les merveilles de la musique ainsi que dans de nombreux livres.
