SiriusXM will offer the most comprehensive audio coverage of the 62nd Daytona 500 on Sunday, February 16th, plus all of the news and events of NASCAR’s annual Speedweeks leading up to race day. Subscribers nationwide will have access to the live race broadcast, in-car audio from some of the sport’s top drivers, and daily highlights from Daytona International Speedway.
On Daytona 500 race day, SiriusXM will offer 15 hours of live programming from the speedway starting at 7 am ET on Sunday. Fans will hear every lap of the “The Great American Race” (green flag approximately at 3 pm) plus full pre- and post-race coverage with expert analysis, reports from the pit road and garages, driver introductions, and interviews with the winner and other drivers. Leading up to the big day, NASCAR Radio will provide in-the-moment news, updates, and interviews. On Wednesday, February 12th, we’ll be broadcasting live from Daytona 500 Media Day, where hosts from the channel will interview the drivers in attendance. NASCAR Radio will also cover the Bluegreen Vacations Duel — the 150-mile NASCAR Cup Series qualifying races on Thursday, February 13th at 6 pm ET with a special pre-race broadcast from Dave Moody (featuring interviews from several Chevy drivers) starting at 3 pm ET.
On Friday, February 14th at 10 am ET, Joey Logano — 2018 NASCAR Cup Series Champion and driver of the No. 22 Team Penske Ford — will host a live edition of his SiriusXM show Behind the Wheel with Joey Logano in advance of the airing of the NextEra Energy Resources 250 NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series race at 7 pm ET. Closing out the pre-Daytona 500 excitement is a live broadcast of the NASCAR Racing Experience 300 Xfinity Series race on Saturday, February 15th at 2 pm ET.
The final lap of NASCAR Radio’s coverage happens on Monday, February 17th at 7 am ET, when the 2020 Daytona 500 champion driver, crew chief, and owner will join The Morning Drive in-studio to talk about the win with hosts Mike Bagley and Pete Pistone.
This past weekend, SiriusXM was featured as the primary sponsor of Martin Truex Jr.’s Joe Gibbs Racing No. 19 Toyota Camry for the Busch Clash at Daytona International Speedway.
