While classic rock fans are aware that Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour will be releasing a new solo album, Rattle That Lock, on September 18th, the only song we’ve heard so far is the title track. The Spectrum has been playing it quite a bit, and it really does sound fantastic.
But earlier this week, a new solo Gilmour tune made its way online, but it’s not part of the new album. Instead, ‘Here, There and Everywhere’ was recorded a few years ago for Mojo Magazine, which is now being released as part of a Gilmour cd cover mount on the magazine’s latest issue.
Gilmour tells the magazine, “I really wish I had been in The Beatles…[They] taught me how to play guitar, I learnt everything. The bass parts, the lead, the rhythm, everything. They were fantastic.”
