The Eagles are celebrating the 40th anniversary of their landmark album Hotel California with their very own channel. Hotel California, SiriusXM’s Eagles channel, will feature music from the band’s extensive career, including hits and rarities, as well as their solo records, influences, “Eagles Family Tree” artists and more. The limited-engagement channel will launch Nov. 17 at 12 pm ET/9 pm PT on channel 30.
The channel will also air the band’s exclusive SiriusXM performance, captured live on Oct. 29 the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, which marked the first time the legendary GRAMMY Award-winning band – Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit, with Deacon Frey and Grand Ole Opry member Vince Gill – performed at the iconic venue.
Eagles Family Tree is comprised of artists connected to the Eagles like Jackson Browne, Linda Ronstadt and J.D. Souther as well as band members from other earlier groups such as Barnstorm and Poco.
Hotel California will be reissued in a deluxe 40th-anniversary edition on Nov. 24, pairing the remastered original studio album with 10 live tracks recorded at the Forum in Inglewood, CA, around the time the work was released. Pre-order it here.
SiriusXM’s Hotel California channel will feature these previously unreleased live tracks from the Eagles’ 1976 concert at the Forum throughout the limited edition channel.
