Kip Moore Announces “Slowheart”

Kip Moore just poured his heart and soul out to Rolling Stone on the topic of his new album Slowheart, due September 8th.  He surprised his record label too, writing quietly with a little ammunition from doubt and depression. Saving the best for last, “Guitar Man” is the final track on the record looks back at Moore’s early days on the road when it was eat, play, and sleep:

“That song is my life story…I remember being that guy, having all those dreams. Constantly feeling like, ‘Am I ever going to get where I want to get?’ And that night, I overheard someone say, ‘Man, that guy is good.’ No one knew his name, he was faceless. I just remember being him, giving everybody the time of their lives one night. And then I would go home by myself and feel empty, because there was so much more I could accomplish.”

The first single is “More Girls Like You”. Moore admits that he used a cheap microphone and played most instruments.
