Hugely popular Chinese pianist Lang Lang is paying tribute to the sounds of some of New York’s great composers.
Starting this Tuesday on Symphony Hall, you’ll hear the artist celebrate the music of New York and the artists that defined New York’s Classical sound – George Gershwin, Aaron Copland, and Leonard Bernstein.
Hear two versions of Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue; the first with Herbie Hancock sitting side by side with Lang Lang.
The second one features the pianist playing alone in an exclusive SiriusXM performance.
All this plus stories and music, music and more music, straight out of the Big Apple.
