Attorney Lurie Daniel Favors Talks Race, Gender & More In New SiriusXM Show

Lurie Daniel Favors, Esq., an activist, attorney, and author with a long-standing commitment to racial and social justice, is bringing The Lurie Daniel Favors Show to SiriusXM Urban View (Ch. 126). A new live two-hour program, The Lurie Daniel Favors Show focuses on the interconnectedness of race, class, gender, politics, and the law.

Pulling from her experience in these areas, Favors will use her live call-in program to tackle these subjects and more each day, with guests and contributors also providing their expertise. The Lurie Daniel Favors Show will air weekdays from 10 am to 12 pm ET on Urban View and the SiriusXM app.

Favors is also a weekly contributor to The Karen Hunter Show and co-hosts Sunday Civics on Urban View. In addition to her role with SiriusXM, Lurie Daniel Favors is an attorney and serves as Interim Executive Director at the Center for Law and Social Justice at Medgar Evers College, CUNY, a racial justice law center committed to the legal needs of New Yorkers of African descent and the disenfranchised. Before graduating from New York University School of Law as a Root-Tilden-Kern public interest scholar, Ms. Daniel Favors co-founded Sankofa Community Empowerment, Inc., a non-profit organization serving communities of African descent through culturally responsive education programs in New York and Pennsylvania. She later co-founded Breaking the Cycle Consulting Services LLC, which specializes in preparing youth, educators, and parents to utilize culturally responsive methods to increase academic achievement in at-risk student populations. She is the author of Afro State of Mind: Memories of a Nappy Headed Black Girl and contributing author to The Birth of a Nation: Nat Turner and the Making of a Movement.
