Here are some key games for SiriusXM NHL Network Radio fans this week across the league, including Boston at Vancouver, Ottawa at Columbus, and Toronto at Tampa Bay.

Saturday, February 22nd – Boston Bruins at Vancouver Canucks
10:00 PM Eastern – SiriusXM 91

Visions of the 2011 Stanley Cup Final dance in the heads of some hockey fans when these two teams meet up.  Nine years later, the Bruins remain a Cup contender, while the Canucks are a few steps ahead of where most people expected them to be this season.  Vancouver has designs on top spot in the crazy Pacific Division and recently picked up forward Tyler Toffoli from the Los Angeles Kings.

Sunday, February 23rd – Pittsburgh Penguins at Washington Capitals
12:00 PM Eastern – SiriusXM 91

Make a note of the start time, because you’re pretty much guaranteed an entertaining game when these two rivals clash.  The Penguins took the first meeting 4-3 back on February 2nd, and the Pens and Caps meet up again in Pittsburgh on Saturday, March 7th, and Sunday, March 22nd.  This is a Battle Royale for first place in the Metropolitan Division.

Monday, February 24th – Ottawa Senators at Columbus Blue Jackets
7:00 PM Eastern – SiriusXM 91

3:00 pm Eastern is the deadline for NHL clubs to make trades, and SiriusXM NHL Network Radio will once again be all over it with wall-to-wall coverage of the most impactful, and seemingly insignificant, moves made by the various NHL general managers.   There is also one game on the docket this evening, featuring Ottawa in Columbus.  This is truly a tale of two cities, as the Sens are in the midst of a rebuild, while the Jackets are fighting tooth-and-nail to secure an Eastern Conference playoff spot.

Tuesday, February 25th – Toronto Maple Leafs at Tampa Bay Lightning
7:00 PM Eastern – SiriusXM 91

Over the past couple of months, the Lightning has resembled the Lightning of last season…well, at least the regular-season version.  This time around, Tampa is looking to take that A-game into the playoffs, and they very well may meet up with the Maple Leafs in the first round in mid-April.  Toronto is still working on tightening up their defensive game, and are looking for more consistency overall.

Wednesday, February 26th – Edmonton Oilers at Vegas Golden Knights
10:30 PM Eastern – SiriusXM 91

It’s a Pacific Division matchup, so you know it’s going to be crazy.  Both the Oilers and Golden Knights need the two points, and almost as importantly, they do not want the other team to leave this game with even a single point.  Who wants first place in the Pacific Division?

Thursday, February 27th – Washington Capitals at Winnipeg Jets
8:00 PM Eastern – SiriusXM 167

Heading into this one, the Capitals are looking to stay ahead of the Penguins in their quest for the top spot in the Metropolitan Division.  Washington has been one of the best teams in the NHL all season long, but have cooled off recently, and tonight face a Jets squad that will most likely need to snare one of the two Western wildcard slots in order to play past the end of the regular season.

Friday, February 28th – New York Rangers at Philadelphia Flyers
7:00 PM Eastern – SiriusXM 91

On this penultimate day in February, two former Patrick Division rivals meet up in Philly.  These two teams have waged some memorable battles over the years, and the game tonight is very important to the Flyers, who can’t afford to take their foot off the gas in their quest for an Eastern Conference post-season spot.  The Rangers can play spoilers, and also keep their playoff hopes alive.
