Here are some key games for SiriusXM NHL Network Radio fans this week across the league, including Winnipeg at Chicago, Flordia at Minnesota, and Vegas at Boston.

Saturday, January 18th – Washington Capitals at New York Islanders
1:00 PM Eastern – SiriusXM 91

These two Metropolitan Division rivals meet up at Nassau Coliseum for an afternoon tilt.  While the Capitals have led that division for most of the season, there’s still time for team such as the Islanders to make a run at first place and home-ice advantage in the first two rounds of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Sunday, January 19th – Winnipeg Jets at Chicago Blackhawks
7:00 PM Eastern – SiriusXM 91

Somehow the Blackhawks are hanging around the playoff picture in the Western Conference.  On paper, this is a game the Jets should win, and they need to, as they’re also in a dogfight for a playoff invite in the West.  The thankfully the games are not played on paper, as this one tonight should be a doozy.

Monday, January 20th – Florida Panthers at Minnesota Wild
8:00 PM Eastern – SiriusXM 91

If you haven’t checked the NHL standings in a bit, you might be surprised by where the Florida Panthers sit.  The Cats have designs on finishing high in the competitive Atlantic Division, and tonight tangle with a Wild squad that has been anything but.  Minnesota needs to get in gear very soon, or the playoffs this spring will only be on the TV.

Tuesday, January 21st – Vegas Golden Knights at Boston Bruins
7:00 PM Eastern – SiriusXM 219

After the shocking firing of their head coach (Gerald Gallant), and the hiring of former San Jose Sharks’ bench boss Peter DeBoer, can the Golden Knights now realize their immense potential, and lock down a playoff spot in the crowded Pacific Division?  Tonight they face a Bruins team that looked to be running away with the Atlantic Division until the Lightning and Maple Leafs began to play a lot better.

Wednesday, January 22nd – Winnipeg Jets at Columbus Blue Jackets
7:30 PM Eastern – SiriusXM 91

John Tortorella continues to show that he’s a very good head coach, as he has his Blue Jackets in the mix in the Eastern for a playoff spot, even after losing a number of key players in the off-season.  They welcome in a Jets team that also find themselves in a real battle for a playoff spot.

Thursday, January 23rd – NO GAMES – NHL All-Star Break

Friday, January 24th – NHL All-Star Game Skills Competition
7:00 PM Eastern – SiriusXM 91

SiriusXM NHL Network Radio has you covered in St. Louis for the annual NHL All-Star Game Skills Competition.  Steve Kouleas handles the play-by-play, while Matthew Barnaby and Scott Laughlin work the benches, talking with all the big names in the game.
