Here are some key games for SiriusXM NHL Network Radio fans this week across the league, including Calgary at San Jose, Florida at New Jersey, and Toronto at Washington.

Saturday, October 12th – St. Louis Blues at Montreal Canadiens
7:00 PM Eastern – SiriusXM 91

The Stanley Cup champions visit Montreal on this Saturday evening, and the Blues look good to defend their title.  The addition of defenceman Justin Faulk has just made them that much stronger, and tonight they face a Canadiens team that just missed the playoff cut last season in the Eastern Conference.

Sunday, October 13th – Calgary Flames at San Jose Sharks
10:00 PM Eastern – SiriusXM 219

These two teams have had some memorable battles over the past two decades, and continue their rivalry tonight in California.  The Sharks got off to a bit of a stumbling start, dropping their first four games of the season.  As for the Flames, can they defend their Pacific Division crown they earned last year?

Monday, October 14th – Florida Panthers at New Jersey Devils
1:00 PM Eastern – SiriusXM 220

A battle of two teams determined to insert themselves into the Eastern Conference playoff race this time around, after missing out on the festivities last season.  Both teams have added some key players (and in the Panthers case, a head coach) in an effort to close that gap.  A big two points early in the 2019-20 NHL season.

Tuesday, October 15th – Nashville Predators at Vegas Golden Knights
10:00 PM Eastern – SiriusXM 91

Many believe this could be a preview of the 2020 Western Conference Final, and out of the gate, both teams have pretty much played up to that billing.  Both squad’s feature solid goaltending, a balanced roster, and both teams have recently made it all the way to the Stanley Cup Final…where they both came up a little bit short.

Wednesday, October 16th – Toronto Maple Leafs at Washington Capitals
7:00 PM Eastern – SiriusXM 91

These two teams meet up again in Washington in two weeks’ time, and they could meet up in the Eastern Conference Final. The Caps are only a couple of years removed from winning the Stanley Cup and believe they can do it again this time around.  The Maple Leafs haven’t won a playoff series since 2004, but believe their Cup window is wide open.

Thursday, October 17th – New York Rangers at New Jersey Devils
7:00 PM Eastern – SiriusXM 91

Like the Devils, the Rangers also have designs on an Eastern Conference playoff spot this time around.  Trouble is, there are only 8 such slots to go around, so a Thursday night game in mid-October suddenly becomes more important than one might think.  New York forward Mika Zibanejad got off to a rip-roaring start, putting up 8 points in his first two games, and was named the NHL First Star of the Week for Opening Week.

Friday, October 18th – Carolina Hurricanes at Anaheim Ducks
10:00 PM Eastern – SiriusXM 91

No need to worry about Carolina, as they’ve jumped out to a great start in the Metropolitan Division.  Tonight the Canes are in Southern California to tangle with a Ducks team that imploded halfway through last season but are looking to put all of that behind them.
