Sunday, January 29th – NHL All-Star Game in Los Angeles, California
3:00 PM Eastern – Sirius XM 91
All the big names in hockey will be on the ice today in Los Angeles, as the 2017 All-Star Game gets underway. We’ll have all the action for you beginning at 3 pm Eastern, 12 noon Pacific.
Monday, January 30th – NO GAMES TODAY
Tuesday, January 31st – Columbus Blue Jackets at New York Rangers
7:00 PM Eastern – Sirius XM 219
The NHL gets back on the ice tonight with 28 teams in action, including this marquee matchup in Manhattan. The home town Rangers are in a battle for a playoff spot in the best division in hockey this season, the Metropolitan Division. As are the Blue Jackets, who recently had a 16 game winning streak, and continue to play well. The game tonight will resemble a playoff game, as the two points up-for-grabs are huge.
Wednesday, February 1st – Minnesota Wild at Calgary Flames
9:45 PM Eastern – Sirius XM 219
The Wild recently ran off a 12 game winning streak, and that helped put them smack dab in the middle of the dogfight for first place in the tough Central Division. The Flames are also in the playoff mix in the Western Conference, and from here on in, every game will be big for them if they hope to print playoff tickets this spring.
Thursday, February 2nd – Toronto Maple Leafs at St. Louis Blues
7:30 PM Eastern – Sirius XM 221
Can the rebuilding Toronto Maple Leafs make the playoffs this season in the Eastern Conference? The young guns have been playing entertaining hockey, but have had their troubles holding leads late in the game. Going into this season, the Blues were one of the favourites to make it all the way to the Stanley Cup Final. They are in the playoff mix in the West, but have had their share of challenges, including shaky goaltending from Jake Allen.
Friday, February 3rd – Edmonton Oilers at Carolina Hurricanes
7:30 PM Eastern – Sirius XM 222
The rematch of the 2006 Stanley Cup Final is also a game between two teams that have sat on the sidelines for the longest time when the calendar flips to playoff time. Things appear to be different this time around. The Oilers are in the running for top spot in the Pacific Division, while the Hurricanes are not far off the pace for a wildcard spot in the Eastern Conference.
