This Saturday, October 3, don’t miss SiriusXM’s nationwide coverage of the Preakness Stakes, the third and final jewel of thoroughbred racing’s 2020 Triple Crown schedule due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
SiriusXM, through its broadcasting agreement with Horse Racing Radio Network (HRRN), airs all Triple Crown races – the Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes, and Belmont Stakes – as well as the Breeders’ Cup World Championships. The wire-to-wire race broadcast of the Preakness Stakes is provided by NBC Sports Audio Network and produced in partnership with HRRN.
Tune in to Sirius Channel 219, XM Channel 201, and Channel 964 throughout October 3 to hear programming throughout the day from Pimlico, including pre-race analysis and interviews with jockeys, trainers, and owners. Coverage begins at 8 am ET with a live edition of HRRN’s Equine Forum. At 4 pm ET, SiriusXM will air HRRN’s exclusive coverage of the undercard races, which will include the 96th Black-Eyed Susan, leading into NBC Sports Audio Network coverage of the Preakness Stakes and the live wire-to-wire race call by NBC Sports’ Larry Collmus (post time approximately 5:35 pm ET). The live race call will also air on Mad Dog Sports Radio (Ch. 82).
A special edition of SiriusXM’s Down The Stretch, hosted by acclaimed track announcer Dave Johnson and Bill Finley, will also air on Saturday at 10 am ET and 11:30 am ET on Channel 211.
SiriusXM’s At The Races with Steve Byk, which broadcasts every weekday from 9 am – 12 pm ET, will air right before the Preakness Stakes and will feature daily interviews with handicapping experts and trainers, plus an in-depth look at the field (Sirius Channel 219, XM Channel 206, and Channel 964 on the SiriusXM app).
