New This Week in Canadian Country
This week, Record Store Day announced their list of releases for April 21st, 2018! For our country-vinyl enthusiasts, this is a day when all sorts of limited edition vinyl hits your local record shops. Sometimes the releases are on coloured vinyl, or maybe a picture disc featuring beautiful art! Let’s not forget about the ‘Golden Ticket’ either – where artists all over the world autograph surprise copies that any vinyl enthusiast may wind up taking home on Record Store Day. From the Legacy Edition of Johnny Cash’s At Folsom Prison to the Road Hammers 12” release of 10 Big Truckin’ Hits, there’s something for everyone. Ooooh! Don’t forget about Stompin’ Tom Connor’s Live at the Horseshoe Tavern in 1971! This day celebrates being able to hold the music in your hand to see the creation as the artist envisioned it from cover art to the liner notes. It’s so much more than just shopping vinyl, Record Store Day 2018 has parties happening all over the country!
