There are so many reasons you should come on board the throwback train and binge watch Gilmore Girls on Netflix ASAP: Creator Amy Sherman-Palladino’s quick, witty banter between all of her characters. The adorable Connecticut town shots of fictional Stars Hollow. Milo Ventimiglia.

And of course, the incredible mother-daughter-BFF dynamic between Alexis Bledel’s bookish character Rory and the coolest mom who ever lived, Lorelei Gilmore. Lauren Graham played Lorelei for seven seasons, and since the series’ recent (and eagerly anticipated) addition to Netflix, more fans than ever have loved witnessing her character’s antics. Parenthood star Graham recently paid a visit to SiriusXM Stars‘ Dirty, Sexy, Funny to chat about the WB classic’s resurgence.

“Now it’s got a weird new life because of how the world has changed, and Netflix gave it a boost. The fans get younger, and I don’t,” Graham joked.

However, Jenny – the cousin of Gilmore Girls star Melissa McCarthy – assured Graham, “You are the ultimate, the first MILF… Literally yesterday in the studio, I heard all the DJs going, ‘Lauren Graham’s coming in. I love her.’”

Jenny also asked Graham about the show’s early beginnings in 2000. Did you know Graham originally thought the show would get canceled? (We’re so glad it didn’t.)

“We were on Thursday nights at 8 o’clock, which I didn’t know,” Graham said. “They told me, and I laughed! I like fell over because that was opposite Friends and whatever else, and I thought, ‘Oh, we’re canceled. Forget it!’”

Plus, Graham did a little kiss-and-tell: Listen to her memories of Billy Bob Thorton’s southern manliness and Ray Romano’s funny awkwardness.
