The Tragically Hip Radio returns this week

This week sees the final dates for The Tragically Hip and their Man Machine Poem tour, which has taken them across Canada this summer. It all culminates this Saturday with The Tragically Hip: A National Celebration, featuring the band performing live from Kingston, Ontario. You can hear the show live on CBC Radio One 169 starting at 8:30 pm ET.

To get you primed for this huge show in Canadian music history, The Tragically Hip Radio is returning to The Verge beginning this Thursday and running through Monday, August 22nd.

During this special, you’ll hear the following:

– live recordings from various concerts

– interviews with the band

– a track by track run through of the band’s latest album “Man Machine Poem” with Rob Baker,

– plus a feature show called “Their Favourites” where Canadian artists pick their favourite Hip songs and tell us why. Guests include Drew and Danielle from Dear Rouge; Hot Hot Heat’s Steve Bays; Mitch from Born Ruffians; and Hannah Georgas.
