Greg Bryant is a longtime curator of jazz as a broadcaster, writer, and musician. His career began while still in high school in Nashville, Tennessee. At 14, Greg hosted a weekly radio show on Fisk University's WFSK-FM. He moved on to WMOT-FM (Middle Tennessee State University) and WNUR-FM (Northwestern University), his respective undergrad and graduate alma maters. Greg won the 2022 Jazz Journalists Association “Podcast of the Year” for “Jazz United,” which he co-hosted with acclaimed critic Nate Chinen. He also hosted the overnight show “Jazz After Hours” on the renowned jazz station WBGO in Newark before joining Real Jazz, Sirius XM. He is also an accomplished working bassist touring and performing locally and abroad. Greg’s wife is jazz singer Dara Tucker. New episodes premiere every Saturday at 8pm ET, with a rebroadcast the following Wednesday at 10pm ET. Founded in 1983, SFJAZZ is among the largest presenters of jazz worldwide. Each year, SFJAZZ presents over 500 concerts at the state-of-the-art SFJAZZ Centre, located on the corner of Franklin and Fell streets in the heart of San Francisco’s cultural district.
