Senior Analyst, Salesforce Marketing Cloud (mat leave contract)

We are seeking a Senior Analyst, Salesforce Marketing Cloud to join our Marketing Operations team and support the technical execution of email campaigns within Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Responsibilities include building and deploying campaigns using pre-developed creative templates, creating accurate audience segments and logic, implementing dynamic and personalized content, configuring automations within the platform, and monitoring campaign performance.

Job Details

Key Accountabilities

  • Configure, personalize, and deploy email campaigns within Salesforce Marketing Cloud using pre-developed creative templates and assets.
  • Develop dynamic personalization and conditional logic using AMPscript.
  • Write and maintain SQL queries for audience segmentation, including joins, suppressions, filters, and use of data views.
  • Create and manage Data Extensions to support targeting, personalization, and automation workflows.
  • Work closely with senior leads to clearly document segmentation logic, personalization rules, and journey configurations.
  • Build and maintain automated processes in Automation Studio and customer journeys in Journey Builder.
  • Validate segmentation accuracy, personalization logic, and journey configuration prior to deployment.
  • Monitor campaign performance and key deliverability indicators (bounce rates, unsubscribe trends, complaint metrics), identifying issues and escalating as appropriate.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot basic data import errors in Marketing Cloud ensuring accuracy and regular deliveries for ongoing campaigns.
  • Generate audience files, campaign extracts, and performance outputs using Marketing Cloud tools and SQL.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Creative, and Analytics teams to ensure accurate and timely campaign execution.
  • Contribute to documentation, operational standards, and ongoing process improvements.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

Level of Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications (Email Specialist, Administrator, or Consultant) are considered an asset.

Job-Related Experience

  • 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience in a Marketing or Campaign Operations role.
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL for audience segmentation and targeting.
  • Experience designing and managing Data Extensions within Marketing Cloud.
  • Proven experience building and deploying campaigns in Email Studio.
  • Experience configuring journeys in Journey Builder and workflows in Automation Studio.
  • Experience developing dynamic content and personalization using AMPscript.
