2020 NHL Fearless Playoff Predictions 3rd Round – Conference Finals

Last round, nobody picked the Dallas Stars!!! This time around…

And we all paid for that oversight. The best some of the group could do was correctly pick three-of-of-four 2^nd round series, and Steve, Gord, JD, and Lippa did exactly that.

We now move on to the Conference Finals, so we asked the staff here at SiriusXM NHL Network Radio the following two questions…

1. Pick the winner of each of the two 3^rd round playoff series
2. Pick the correct number of games each 3^rd round series will go

A reminder – this is NOT a bracket. We’ll be back with 2020 Stanley Cup Final picks next round.

In order to track our progress, here is this year’s unique point system; 68 points would constitute a perfect score.
(Under our “normal” scoring system, 46 points was the maximum one could achieve. Mike Lippa set the record with 36 points back in 2016).

• 1 point for correctly choosing the winner of each Play-In Series
• 2 points for correctly choosing the 1^st place finisher in each round robin group
• 1 point for correctly choosing the winner of each 1^st round series
• 2 points for correctly choosing the winner of each 2^nd round series
• 2 points for correctly choosing the winner of each 3^rd round series
• 3 points for correctly choosing the 2020 Stanley Cup winner
• 2 points for correctly choosing the 2020 Conn Smythe winner
• 1 point for correctly choosing how long a series goes, but only if one also correctly picks that series’ winning team
• 3 points for correctly choosing the 2020 Stanley Cup winner before the playoffs begin
• 3 points for correctly choosing the 2020 Conn Smythe winner before the playoffs begin
• 2 points for correctly choosing which team gets to draft first in the 2020 Entry Draft
