SiriusXM is paying tribute to the life, music, and extraordinary legacy of Dolly Parton with special programming across SiriusXM.
50 years ago this week, Gregg Allman joined his brother, Duane, for a music rehearsal in California that turned out to be the genesis of one of the greatest Southern rock bands ever – the Allman Brothers Band.
In honour of the 50th anniversary of the Allman Brothers Band, legendary guitarist Warren Haynes and his wife, Stef Scamardo, are premiering the never-before-heard The Allman Brothers Band: Fillmore West exclusively on SiriusXM’s Jam On (Ch. 29). The archival release, which is due out later this year, features live performances from the iconic band’s shows at the historic Fillmore West in San Francisco in 1971.
Hear broadcasts of the special Wednesday, March 27 at 11 am; Thursday, March 28 at 6 pm; Friday, March 29 at 8 am; Saturday, March 30 at 3 pm; and Sunday, March 31 at noon ET.
PLUS: Musicians Devon Allman and Duane Betts — the sons of ABB’s Gregg Allman and Dickey Betts, respectively — joined the Jam On celebration and shared stories about their fathers’ band. Check out a segment of the exclusive special below.
