Acoustic troubadours and songwriting legends highlight Classic Folk on the SiriusXM App

Classic folk music has been one of the purest forms of musical entertainment since the early years of the 1900s. Over the decades, it would become a significant force of peaceful protest, a method of highlighting current and controversial events while often making its presence felt on the pop charts and in album sales.

SiriusXM Classic Folk is a new channel that recently launched exclusively on the SiriusXM app. It’s a folk song revival featuring ’50s folk groups, ’60s troubadours and the songwriters of the ’70s. Ranging from protest songs to singalongs, it’s the classic side of folk.

On the channel, you’ll hear artists like Pete Seeger, Odetta, James Taylor, Joan Baez, Woody Guthrie, Kingston Trio, Leadbelly, Crosby Stills & Nash, Judy Collins, Bob Dylan, and more.
