Grateful Dead Channel (Ch. 23) celebrates the life and legacy of Jerry Garcia during “The Days Between,” August 1–9, marking the time between Jerry’s birth and his passing.
The surviving classic members of the Beach Boys reunited for the first time since 2012 for a SiriusXM Town Hall. Sitting side-by-side in Studio A at the Capitol Records building in Hollywood, where they made some of their earliest recordings, Brian Wilson, Al Jardine, Mike Love, David Marks, and Bruce Johnston answered questions from fans and event moderator Rob Reiner.
The career-spanning discussion touched on their relationship with The Beatles, the secret to their songwriting, their new album The Beach Boys with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, which combines new orchestral arrangements around the original vocal tracks of Beach Boys hits, and how they’d like to be remembered, among other topics.
