The last few years have seen Bruce Springsteen take on a series of new and unique artistic challenges. First came his book, Born to Run. Then there was his sold-out Broadway show, which was filmed for Netflix. Then came this year’s Western Stars, a new album inspired by California singer-songwriters.
Knowing he wouldn’t be touring for the record, Springsteen and his collaborator Thom Zimmy co-directed a live performance of Western Stars that was filmed in a barn on Springsteen’s property.
