On Saturday, June 5th, SiriusXM will offer listeners nationwide coverage of the Belmont Stakes on NBC Sports Audio (Ch. 211) as many of thoroughbred racing’s best compete at Belmont Park in Elmont, NY. Enjoy programming throughout the day, including pre-race analysis and interviews with jockeys, trainers, and owners.
SiriusXM, through its broadcasting agreement with Horse Racing Radio Network (HRRN), airs all Triple Crown races – the Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes, and Belmont Stakes – as well as the Breeders’ Cup World Championships. The wire-to-wire race broadcast of the Belmont Stakes is provided by NBC Sports Audio and produced in collaboration with HRRN.
SiriusXM’s race-day coverage begins at 8 am ET with a live edition of HRRN’s Equine Forum show (Sirius Ch. 219, XM Ch. 201, and Ch. 964 on the SiriusXM App).
At 10 am ET, NBC Sports Audio will air a special edition of SiriusXM’s Down The Stretch, hosted by acclaimed track announcer Dave Johnson and Bill Finley, followed by NBC Sports Audio’s coverage of the Belmont Stakes at 5 pm ET including the live race call by NBC Sports’ Larry Collmus (post time approximately 6:52 pm ET). Coverage is hosted by Mike Penna along with analysts Tom Leach and Anthony Stabile.
The live Belmont Stakes race call will also air on Mad Dog Sports Radio (Ch, 82) during a special Saturday edition of The Rap with Patrick Meagher beginning at 6 pm ET.
At The Races with Steve Byk airs on SiriusXM every weekday from 9 am–12 pm ET, featuring daily interviews with handicapping experts and trainers and an in-depth look at the field. SiriusXM will also air additional HRRN programming leading up to the Belmont Stakes including Race Day (Thursday–Friday, 3-6 pm ET), Call In Show (Thursday 6-7 pm ET), and Weekend Stakes Preview (Friday 6-7 pm ET). All of these programs can be heard on SiriusXM radios (Ch. 219 or 201) as well as on the SiriusXM app (Ch. 964).
