Though we’re still in shock over the tragic news regarding Gord Downie of the Tragically Hip, if there’s one thing that Gord is showing us all with his will to carry on is that music has power.
SiriusXM The Verge is going to celebrate Gord, The Tragically Hip, their legacy and their new album “Man Machine Poem” with The Tragically Hip Radio.
With The Tragically Hip Radio, you’ll hear classic live recordings from past concerts, exclusive interviews with the band, along with a track-by-track look at their new album “Man Machine Poem” out Friday, June 17th.
PLUS, The Tragically Hip Radio will feature a show called “Their Favourites”, where Canadian artists pick their fave Tragically Hip Songs and tell us why. Among the musicians included:
Drew and Danielle from Dear Rouge
Steve Bays from Hot Hot Heat
Born Ruffians’ Mitch
Hannah Georgas
and more
The Tragically Hip Radio airs on The Verge beginning Thursday, June 16th and running through Monday, June 20th. It then moves over to Iceberg from Tuesday, June 21st through Monday, June 27th.
