West Side Story, the film adaptation of the Tony Award-winning 1957 musical of the same name featuring lyrics by the late Stephen Sondheim, hits theatres on December 10. In advance of the film’s release, join the SiriusXM Town Hall featuring cast members Ansel Elgort (Tony), Rachel Zegler (Maria), Ariana DeBose (Anita), Rita Moreno (Valentina), David Alvarez (Bernardo) and Mike Faist (Riff) in spirited conversation moderated by longtime entertainment personality and host Jess Cagle. The movie follows the iconic story of Tony and Maria, two New York City teenagers affiliated with rival street gangs in the 1950s, as they fall in love in spite of the odds. Garnering inspiration from Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, the film shines a light on the dynamics of warring gangs — the Jets and Sharks — and the families involved all set to dynamic musical performances and dance numbers. Catch the two-hour premiere during The Jess Cagle Show or the rebroadcast times below.
