Fall Out Boy joins Hits 1 to talk all things ‘So Much (for) Stardust’

Pop-rock greats Fall Out Boy sat down for two revealing conversations on SiriusXM Hits 1 (Ch. 2) in celebration of their brand-new album, So Much (for) Stardust, which dropped March 24. Watch or read about both discussions below.

Fall Out Boy’s Pete, Andy, and Patrick Stump also stopped by the Morning Mash Up to talk more about the new album, as well as figuring themselves out, Taylor Swift, what they’re all currently binge-watching, and going on tour this summer.

“When you’ve done art for 20 years, there’s always the possibility that you put out new art and people are like, ‘Skip, skip, skip. Skip, this sucks, skip,’” Pete said. “You want to do something that’s compelling to you and then you hope it’s compelling to your audience … I think on [So Much (for) Stardust] there is kind of some version of Fall Out Boy for everybody.”

About Fall Out Boy and So Much (for) Stardust

So Much (for) Stardust is Fall Out Boy’s eighth studio album and has been highly anticipated by fans worldwide.

Fall Out Boy was formed in 2001 by bassist Pete Wentz and guitarist Joe Trohman, who recruited drummer Andy Hurley and vocalist/guitarist Patrick Stump to complete the lineup. The band gained popularity with their 2005 album From Under the Cork Tree, which featured hits such as “Sugar, We’re Goin Down” and “Dance, Dance.” Since then, Fall Out Boy has released numerous successful albums and singles, solidifying their place in the pop-punk and emo-rock genres.

So Much (for) Stardust is the band’s first album since 2018’s Mania. The album features 13 tracks — including the singles “Love from the Other Side” and “Heartbreak Feels So Good” — and stands as a testament to the band’s continued success and evolution as musicians.
