Ahead of the event, tune in to Fight Nation on Friday, January 27th, from 9 am-12 pm ET as Busted Open’s Dave LaGreca, Sam Roberts and Tommy Dreamer preview the Royal Rumble live from San Antonio. Each year, the Royal Rumble features its namesake match: a 30-wrestler battle royale in which participants must eliminate their opponents by throwing them over the top rope and onto the ground outside the ring. The champion, then, gets a chance at the world-title match at WrestleMania in April.

Since 2018, the WWE has included both a men’s and a women’s Royal Rumble match.
